St Andrews #1 for Student Satisfaction
The University of St Andrews has been ranked top in Scotland. Closely following Oxford and Cambridge, the University is third in the UK overall, and number one for student satisfaction.

Sport plays a vital role in student life at St Andrews. Within Saints Sport, there are 55 sports on offer, with rowing as one of the main high performance sports at the University.
St Andrews is the obvious choice for students seeking a high quality education in a beautiful corner of Scotland, but perhaps it has been overlooked in terms of rowing.
Just a few weekends ago, the University of St Andrews Boat Club (UStABC), secured its position as the second most successful university rowing club in Scotland at the Scottish University Rowing Championships. Beating eight Scottish universities, UStABC is currently the top non-funded university rowing club in Scotland.
At the British Universities and Colleges of Sport (BUCS) Regatta, we placed ninth in the medal table, ahead of top, funded, high performance rowing clubs, such as Imperial College Boat Club. On the British Universities Victor Ludorum, we retained our top 20 position.

The club is currently experiencing an exciting period. After gaining performance status within Saints Sport in 2014, and the recent appointment of a new Director of Rowing, Jordan, just a few months ago, we are rising up through the rankings in British Rowing. Our athletes have represented Scotland and aim to represent Great Britain on the U23 squad.
St Andrews University is smaller than most universities, but nevertheless hugely international, high-achieving and ambitious. The same qualities are reflected in our rowing club. With 45 members this year, we are a small club, and we are proud of our intimate and friendly atmosphere. We also have a large number of international students each year. In recent years, our athletes have come from the USA, Germany, Switzerland and Russia. Our Club Committee is entirely student run. Our members take much satisfaction from being directly involved in the day-to-day running and development of the Club.

If you are interested in rowing at St Andrews, get in touch via our social media, or fill out the online form on our website.
A number of our athletes and our Director will be at National Schools Regatta at Eton Dorney this weekend. Come along to our tent for a chat and find out what it’s all about!
