Senior Men qualify at Henley Royal Regatta!

Carrying on from the success of our Womens 4+ at Henley Women's Regatta, the club was once again represented at Henley by our Mens 4+ at Henley Royal Regatta!

After placing 3rd in Intermediate 1 4+ at Marlow Regatta the previous weekend, the boys were looking to continue their success.

As this was our first time at HRR, this signifies an incredible step forward for our club and we are immensely proud of the accomplishments of this crew this season. All their hard work has been in pursuit of Henley and it bodes exceptionally well for the club that we have achieved so much this year in both male and female squads.

After an exhilarating performance to qualify, Oscar, Aran, George, Tony, and Lily competed on the 30th of June in the Prince Albert Challenge Cup heats against Yale University.

In a truly brilliant race, Yale presented serious opposition to our mens squad, but to their credit our men managed to hold them well, showing a firm team spirit as well as some of their best rowing all season. They did the supporters, the club and most importantly themselves proud. A strong challenge was made out of the start and a respectable 1 1/2 lengths win for Yale University was the ending result.

We are immensely proud of their success this year and the massive progress they have made for the club as the first crew to ever qualify. We look forward to coming back again next year!
