History made at Henley Women's Regatta!
The 17th of June marked the first of many fantastic moments this summer, as our women's 4+ made club history by racing at Henley Women's Regatta!
For Charlie Fling, Hannah Myatt, Natasha Wood, Charis Evans and Matthew Taylor this represented the culmination of racing this season. The club is immensely proud of having hit this milestone, and of our spectacular athletes and coaches that made this possible. With continued training and improvement, we plan on making ourselves consistent contenders at HWR in years to come.
Our women's 4+ finished their season in the heats at Henley Women's Regatta. In an incredibly close race, they came second to Edinburgh by 1/2 a length. The tough competition is a credit not only to the standard of rowing across Scotland, where we are fortunate enough to race regularly, but also to the determination and impressive performances displayed by all athletes, in all crews.
We are incredibly proud of how far our women's crew have come this year, and for their result at Henley Women's Regatta, and the club is truly thankful for all of the support received. With all of this crew returning to St Andrews next year, we cannot wait to see how they progress next year and how their achievements will inspire current and future members!
