Saints lead new Fife Indoor Rowing Programme with Madras College!
Just last week, members of the club including Director of Rowing Iain Rice met with the Rector and Principle Teacher of P.E of Madras College to mark the handover of two new Concept 2 indoor rowing machines.
The two rowing machines were gifted from a set of eight that the club purchased with a grant from Sport Scotland, received as part of a successful Awards for All bid.
This handover marks the start of the University of St Andrew's Boat Club's Fife Indoor Rowing programme, working with Madras College to raise interest and involvement in rowing throughout Fife. The programme is open not only to students at Madras College, but also to the wider community.
The programme will be run by students of the Boat Club, as well as by Director Iain Rice with the hopes that the training those involved will receive on the indoor machines will translate well in water sessions at a later stage, at the Club's chosen location of Loch Ore Meadows.
