Inverness Head of the River Report
Saturday 8 November saw the Boat Club's first official race under the Scottish Winter League ("SWL") at the Caledonian Canal in Inverness. The 4.5 km Head Race proved to be a great course to give novice crews their first ever racing experience, and a good proxy for the development of senior crews. We next go to Glasgow Fours head. This week we have focused on our technique to help us close the gap between us and the other universities. The endurance program has started and rowers are completing 11 sessions a week. It is tough and the rowers, especially the first years, are getting used to handling their time, rowing training and dealing with tiredness. Ergo scores are already improving.
