FROM FOUNDATION TO THE EIGHTIES

The University of St Andrews Boat Club was founded in 1962 by John Browne. Finding a boat from Newcastle and eventually a suitable stretch of water at Guardbridge, John had founded the club! The club history becomes a little hazed from the 1960s until around 2000, so do get in touch to either ap_rowing@saints-sport.com or ustabc.history@gmail.com to help us plug the gaps in our ever unfolding history!
