The University of St Andrews Boat Club is one of the top performance programmes within the University as well as Scottish Rowing. Founded in 1962, the Club has seen incredible development the past few years, increasing not only our numbers but our standing within the Scottish and British Rowing communities. Under the guidance our Director of Rowing, Jordan Stanley, we have seen great competitive success in competitions and regattas throughout the UK.
Based in Loch Ore in Fife, we are a fast developing and competitive club, open to all regardless of experience. Whether a prospective student, alumni, or supporter, we encourage you to get in contact and stay up to date with all of our successes to come.

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENT
Dear Members, Prospective Members, Parents, Alumni and Visitors,
For those of you who don’t know me, I am a fourth-year, Arabic & French student from Darlington, County Durham. I feel truly privileged and am exceptionally proud to be the President of the University of St Andrews Boat Club for the coming academic year.
Founded in 1962 by John Browne, the University of St Andrews Boat Club has developed from a relatively small, recreational rowing club, to the intense, competitive, high-performance rowing programme that exists today. This development is something that we are extremely proud of and something that we wish to continue to build upon. Something that has remained constant throughout those 50 years, however, is the incredibly strong friendships formed and memories made; our University experience is truly enriched by the Club and I would thoroughly encourage anyone considering rowing at St Andrews not to miss the opportunity. The Club is very close knit, which is something that is starting to become what the Club is known for, alongside performance, dedication and commitment.
The Club’s success cannot be attributed to one solitary source; our committed athletes, our loyal alumni network, our supportive parents, our hard-working Committee and our experienced and dedicated coaching team, led by our Director of Rowing, Jordan, are all extremely important. On behalf of the entire Club, I would like to thank all these persons. Without your support, time and effort, the Club would not be in the strong position that we can enjoy today. We hope that you can all continue to support and be proud of this close-knit and hard-working Club.
Despite our recent success, the constant need for reinvestment, support and sponsorship is becoming increasingly important - whether this is a ‘like’ or ‘share’ on our social media platforms, telling us a story from our 50 year past or even a financial donation.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions, queries or issues at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Yours in Rowing,
Club President 2019-20
